A hit-and-run driver mowed down and critically injured an elderly man as he crossed a Queens street Thursday night, cops said.

The 71-year-old man was on his way to meet the pastor of his church, when a white SUV struck him at Murray St. and 17th Road in Whitestone, at 6:50 p.m., according to cops.

Medics took him to Flushing Hospital in critical condition.

Donna Angenbroich, 64, lives across the street from the crash scene.

Angenbroich’s son and daughter-in-law ran out and called 911, while she rushed back into her house to grab a towel, she said.

“There’s blood all over the ground,” Angenbroich said. “He wasn’t moving. He couldn’t move.”

The victim’s pastor showed up shortly afterward concerned about the man, Angenbroich said.
