Anne Hathaway is looking pink.
The “Interstellar” star is in talks to star in Sony’s “Barbie” movie, according to Variety.
The 34-year-old Brooklyn native would replace Amy Schumer, who dropped out of the project in March, citing scheduling conflicts.
“Barbie” follows a doll kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough who finds herself in the real world before returning to save her home.
Hathaway, unlike Schumer, is brunette, but Barbie’s image has gotten more diverse over the years, which could explain a new hair color.
“Fun Mom Dinner” director Alethea Jones is in talks to helm the movie after being specifically chosen by Hathaway, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Schumer was revising the script while she was still attached to the project, but there’s no word on whether those updates will stay.
“Barbie” is still expected to be released June 29, but that could depend on Hathaway’s schedule.
